The Salon Vim Experience

Sponsored

Hello! I've neglected my blog for too long due to work commitment, so thank you for reading if you're still here! :)

I'm so excited to let you know that Salon Vim is my new hair sponsor! Yay!

Even though this is a sponsored post, be rest assured that I'm not saying the good things merely because I'm supposed to. I was once a paying customer of Salon Vim - I say once because without sponsorship I only visit salons like once a year... I even paid more for my hair to be cut by Gary the Director, and of course I couldn't be more satisfied when I left the salon!

Many selfies because the light made me eyes look so big and bright haha. Also can you spot the pimple that I tried to conceal?

The patient boyfriend who came to look for me after doing some work at a random bar. He waited for me the whole afternoon!

I pointed to this picture and said, "hmm let's look at my deep and complex brain!" at which S totally rolled his eyes hahaha.

Hikaro recently came back to Singapore after a 6-year stint in UK! After the treatment, I asked him how long the effect's gonna last - because you know how some treatments just defeat their own purpose after a wash?? He confidently said I should see it for myself.

He also taught me how to curl my hair using rollers and tongs! Sometimes I really think I'm too low-maintenance for a girl/blogger hahaha :/

Tokyo Bust Express

Advertorial

Everyone has their own version of an ideal body they would love to achieve, and most of us girls dream of having a fantastic figure without having to work for it - for me at least hahaha.

One of the most important parts of our female bodies has got to be the bust! Bigger is not always better, because sometimes all they do is make you look fat, certain clothes you just look obscene in, running is a pain, etc. Proportion is key! So personally I don't think they have to be big, but a healthy pair is a must and a plus! Besides, they can be a confidence-booster ;)

boobies_poster

Hahaha do you spot yours?

I have never put in effort into the maintenance of my boobs because, well, I always thought boobs are just boobs right. But as with everything else, having a pair of healthy-looking bosoms requires care to a certain extent.

When I was invited to Tokyo Bust Express at City Square Mall, I couldn't decide if I was excited or skeptical. I mean, YAY to my very first bust treatment!, but on the other hand, it works meh??

Let me just say it here first that IT DOES!! Read on to find out more ;)

IMG_6794
I love it here at City Square Mall. The human traffic isn't high compared to that of other malls, so I didn't have to feel shy walking in. By the way, do you know that Tokyo Bust Express is the leading natural bust enhancement specialist with the most outlets island wide? :)

IMG_6822
Here's my specialist, Rain, giving me a Breasts 101 (haha) - why the various shapes and sizes boobs come in.

http://www.growbreastsnaturally.com/anatomy-of-the-breast

All our boobs come in different shapes (yes) and sizes, and there are various factors that contribute to the development of breasts, mainly cup size and perkiness.

Besides fats, the number and size of lobule nodes (see: lobes of the mammary gland) also affects the size of your breasts. Some people have more, some have less. Some may have many yet they are still flat-chested - and here's how Tokyo Bust Express can help to stimulate them. Pectoral muscles play a role in perkiness because they help to "hold" them, which can delay sagging.

The 3 major hormones you may wanna take note are estrogen (primary female sex hormone), progesterone (involved in menstrual cycle and pregnancy), and prolactin (best known for milk production).

Tokyo Bust Express provides 100% natural ingredients such as soy-infused treatments combined with advanced technology and traditional Japanese massage techniques. Organic soybean extracts are used to stimulate female hormones, and aid in optimal bust development. One exclusive ingredient is phytoestrogens which are derived from various plants. Main advantages include:
  • Reduction of menopausal symptoms
  • Promotion of cardiovascular health, bone health, and breast health
IMG_6823
I didn't feel embarrassed at all because the consultation room feels really private, and Rain is very, very professional. :)

I could live with my current bust size, but honestly I'm not very satisfied with it. On the other hand, I'm also not looking for an exaggerated enhancement of like 2 or 3 cup sizes - remember I mentioned proportion is always key! I just thought my boobs could do with a little lift so that they look a little fuller and perkier.

Just one look (yes you have to strip) with a few squeezes (hahaha), and she could tell that 1) I don't wear bra at home, and 2) I often exercised.

Bingo.

I was told that I have saggy boobs (omg) and the top part is already "empty" (!!), but because I had led quite an active lifestyle (until the 2nd quarter of this year, that is), they aren't sagging entirely YET thanks to my pectoral muscles. Apparently it's not a problem exclusive to the well-endowed... who knew, right?

She also told me that wearing a bra at home is actually very important! Gravity isn't your friend here. Sleeping is the only time you may be excused. Needless to say, wearing a proper bra is also essential if you don't want your boobs to become "armpit fats".

The bed was so comfortable, and I absolutely love the privacy and ambience of the room. So cosy! :)

My specialist started off with a relaxing shoulder massage.

There are no pictures for the treatments I did for obvious reasons, but it was a pleasant novel experience for me! :)

Firstly, I was given a Detox Scrub to remove dead skin cells around the bust area. This step also helps in better penetration of products used in the following treatments.

Next, a purifying essence was applied onto my bust essence before using the TT Push Up Therapy, which uses pulsed magnetic fields to stimulate my mammary glands. It helps to tone, lift, and maintain shape of breasts. It may sound painful, but rest assured it isn't! Just a slight sensation on both your boobs, no discomfort at all - I fell asleep here hahaha.

What hurt slightly was the Detox Me Massage Therapy next. It helps in blood circulation and lymphatic drainage for detoxifying purposes, stimulates mammary glands, and also aids in preventing breast cancer. The pain is bearable, and it is normal for people who don't usually go for such treatments and therefore aren't used to it. Because the massage requires your boobs to be squeezed and pressed, it isn't advisable for you to go for it before your period when your boobs feel sore. It'd definitely hurt more! However, the pain is due to lymphatic drainage, detoxification, and to help in an improvement of overall bust circulation.

Lastly, the Bust Suction Therapy helps shape for a rounder and fuller bust by, again, stimulating mammary glands. It re-positions your breasts to reduce the aforementioned "armpit fats". If the word suction scares you, be assured that this process does not hurt. My breasts were simply gently suctioned by individual cups, released, suctioned, and released again. Quite therapeutic actually!

After all the treatments, it was time for the results/measurements - before having the chance to look in the mirror. I was honestly quite scared because if it didn't work it would be so embarrassing for the specialist?? Like omg how is she gonna explain it, and how am I supposed to react?? Yes I worry too much about insignificant things like this.

To my relief (haha), it WORKED:
IMG_6798
The marks are the positions of my nipples 1) before and 2) after treatments. My breasts were closer together and are more lifted!

When I looked into my mirror for some brief explanation about what the treatments did, I could actually SEE the difference. My boobs were definitely perkier and less droopy than before - so naturally they did appear fuller, although I wouldn't go so far to say that my cup size increased (not measured anyway). Imagine my surprise and happiness hahaha.

A little snack after my treatment.

My specialist, Rain, and I! :D

Tokyo Bust Express has specially formulated bust products customized to suit different bust needs, and here's what I got to take home:
IMG_7006
Bust Essence - Superb firming, lifting, and volumizing action. The synergistic blend utilizes the finest grade extracts that deliver optimal efficacy for a plumped up and fuller bust line in a safe and non-invasion way.

Intensive Bust Enhancement Firming Cream Serum - Specially formulated with Kigelia Africana Fruit Extract, a natural botanical ingredient, it helps to preserve skin elasticity, suppleness, and provide hydration.

Besides the results, an important factor which determines whether I like a product or not would usually be the texture. Both the essence and serum above are very light and non-sticky. So it feels perfectly fine to wear a bra after application. I'm also starting to feel that we girls should be concerned of our bust as much as we care for our face!

IMG_7013
Thank you for the post-treatment products!

I would definitely recommend Tokyo Bust Express to everyone because of its non-invasive treatments, the use of natural soy-infused ingredients, its hospitable and professional specialists, and most importantly, the visible results!

Just a note that this isn't a plastic surgery, neither is it a miracle. So you shouldn't have unrealistic expectations like upping a cup size in just ONE session, or jumping from an A to D at the end of 10 sessions. :) Regular sessions would be ideal!

Klarity @ Salt Grill & Sky Bar

Last Friday, I was invited to Salt Grill & Sky Bar @ Ion for Klarity's event!

If you haven't heard of Klarity, it's because it is a new local skincare brand! Their two products lines – V-line Series and Miracle White Series – consist of innovative products that are paraben free and halal certified. These products are the results of much research and development conducted by dermatologists in Korea, with formulae from France and Switzerland.

Grilled barramundi, pea puree, fennel, apple, elderflower dressing - This was one of the two choices for mains which I didn't pick.

IMG_3166
Portuguese baby chicken, chargrilled corn, chorizo, chillies, olives - My choice! Everything was perfectly grilled and very tasty!

All of us on the right were coincidentally in white and black haha.

IMG_3250
The CC Miracle White Lotion was included in the goodie bag.

IMG_3252
IMG_3253
As with most asian BB and CC creams, I was skeptical about it because I've had bad experiences with those that leave a white/grey cast - before realizing that this isn't a typical CC cream but a CC lotion.

IMG_3251
It comes out white, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that not only does it blend well with my skintone, it actually feels very light yet moisturizing. This CC lotion contains skincare properties, so that's a huge plus for busy women who are always on-the-go.

This has almost no coverage, so you really can't depend on it to cover your blemishes. Apply it as a sunscreen instead - both on your face and body :)

If I'm not wrong, it will be available at Watsons soon, so look out for it!
